A Brief History
After completing my Journalism and Media Studies Degree at Rhodes University, I joined Sun International at The Carousel Casino and Entertainment World. I spent seven years moving through the entire Marketing Department from Guest Relations to Public Relations and Promotions, eventually specialising in Desk Top Publishing.
I was asked to join Caesars Gauteng (now Emperors Palace) as part of the opening team in 1998, as Gaming Promotions Co-ordinator. I later set up the Desk Top Publishing department and have been managing that department for the Peermont Global group for the past 4 years, seeing through the re-branding of 7 properties in the last 18 months.
Finally I set out on my own in March 2006 as Paws 19, with a wealth of skills and knowledge gained from the Entertainment industry.
What's in a Name
When the business started I had five beloved pets, three dogs and two cats. One cat, Snowy, lost his leg is a car accident a few years ago and hence there were a total of 19 Paws in my family. One pet has since passed away. Hence here are the current "Company Directors".
